The Close of Winter

February 3rd is Setsubun in Japan. In Japan, the traditional end of winter falls on February 3rd, and is known as Setsubun. It is before the beginning of spring according to the lunisolar calendar. On the evening of this day, people open the doors of their houses and drive the devils that means bad luck out of their homes and gardens by throwing  handfuls of beans and shouting, "devils out!! Good luck in!!"
Therefore, We put on makeup of devils and took pictures that show doing the Setsubun. Yes, Setsubun should be enjoyable and not a task.
And after Setsubun ends, winter is closed...

Clouds After a Storm

This sky is after a storm. Heavy Clous obscured the sky and the glow of sunset turns all clouds red. Those are very weird.

Enoshima Around

I decided the theme for pictures and took pictures of portrait at the request of my friend. The portrait is for use in an interview. Then she managed to pass it and got the job. Great!!

In the Toilet

I noticed that there's nearly running out of toilet paper when I entered toilet of shop. I confronted a severe shortage of used amount of toilet paper that needs for me. I had to allocate sufficient paper to problem resolution and depend on intuition alone… After 15 minutes in the toilet, I overcame the difficulty brilliantly. Whoof!!

Negishi forest Park

Negishi forest Park that has an area of 193,102 square meters is representative of one of parks in Yokohama. This park is vast.

There were racecourse before in this park. it remains building even today.

I've never been there during cherry blossom season though, there is one of the cherry blossom viewing spots in Kanagawa prefecture.

In the past, this lawned area was golf field for the U.S. forces private use. lawns has traces of the past.

I don't know why colors of ground and fallen leaves are different only in this area. It was like a autumn colors.

Meigetsuin

Do you know about hydrangea?! Japanese hydrangeas are in bloom in rainy season. In Japan, Beginning in June is rainy season. And the hydrangea is really a calyx in the botanical sense of the term. So it's not flower.

This is Kompeito（Japanese confetti）seems like hydrangea. Those are heavenly colors. You can buy this Kompeito at Toshimaya near the Kamakura station for a limited time from Japanese rainy season. 

Meigetsuin in Kamakura is one of the famous spots for viewing hydrangea in rainy season. Of course I went to take pictures of the hydrangea there.

And it features a beautiful Japanese garden as well.

Yokohama City

This time, I moved around Yokohama station. There are grove of various building as far as I can see.

We can see old buildings and modern buildings that was designed in different shapes.

Even around Yokohama station has some parks with plenty of space and greenery.

I found the rail track for freight train exclusive use. So the train mostly doesn't come. In a slow pace, I could take photos here.

At night Minatomirai is the best beautiful lights of all the Yokohama city. Especially I love the night view from Osanbashi Yokohama International Passenger Terminal. I'll post an  another blog about it someday.

This is defocused pictures that I stopped down the aperture value of the lens. Then I can see that there are a lot of variously-colored luminous source.

Yokohama city is port, so lights of night view reflected off water beautifully.
